In 1945, the former Norishalle, which was inter alia an exhibition hall for contemporary art, was destroyed in the air war. Starting in 1965, the Bavarian State Trade Institute (Landesgewerbeanstalt) had a new building constructed on the same site according to plans by the architect Heinrich Graber (1926-2001). The new Norishalle was inaugurated in 1969. The result was a free-standing, two-part group building with an atrium. In its external appearance, the one to three-story building with flat and shed roofs is distinguished by the exposed concrete and glass division of the façades, and in part by widely projecting upper floors. The structure was used as a museum, exhibition and administrative building for the Bavarian State Trade Institute.
