Realschule (Secondary School) (today: Max und Moritz Elementary School)

Terraced school buildings like this are rare. A building in which the construction is formed according to purpose becomes a design element. Thus the terrace construction method provides a new kind of lighting and ventilation for the classrooms. Concrete recesses and projections characterise the building, concrete stairs stand freely on the façade outside the building. The expressively designed school building is intentionally very different from the monotonous environment.
