The "Temple of the Nation" is an urban landmark located at the base of the volcano Pichincha. Dumet tried to connect the mountainous setting with the architecture through large concrete ribs of girders with wide openings. Halls linked by narrow corridors house the Historical Military Museum. A commemorative mural on the outside breaks up the large scale structure visually. Special thanks to José Mena G.
