University Theater, California State University Dominguez Hills

This University Theater shows its fair-faced wood imprinted concrete on the in- and outside. Construction joints of various sizes are recognizable on the façade, still the building gives a monolithic impression with a cornucopia of different shapes protruding, projecting, and interlacing each other. The architect said, the building is one of his favourite projects because of its character as a “pure concrete sculpture on a unique site”. The theater building is surrounded by a par-like area on the Campus of California State University Dominguez Hills.
