Soldier's House (Beit Hachyal)

The complex is a hostel for soldiers. While the lower block houses facilities like a library, classrooms, a synagogue, offices and a banquet hall, a four story block above it contains the dorm rooms. Elevators and the chimney are housed in the prominent towers. The sculptural façades are defined by the alternating use of white plaster and exposed concrete as well as the deeply recessed windows. The Brutalist influence is most notable in the large scale elements such as the eye-catching service towers for staircases, smokestacks and elevators.
