Norrköpings Stadsbibliotek (City Library)

The building was drawn by Swedish architect Sten Samuelson who was personaly aquinted with Louis Kahn. Some design choices that proved to be inflexible were met with initial criticism from the staff of librarians. The library is among the bigger in Sweden and according to it's own webpage it has over a million visitors every year. The design also proved controversial among citizens of Norrköping and the perceived uglyness has been a recurring theme in the local newspapers. Special thanks to David Olofsson
