| Condition | Unfortunately nearly all of these schools, including this example, were remodeled around 2010. The original idea was turned upside down by putting the new facade in front of the concrete structure for reasons of thermal insulation. Only a few smaller examples of this type remained. |

In the region of Kassel plenty of new schools were needed in the late 1970's in a very short time. A system of prefabricated concrete elements and metal walls was developed, which allowed the buildings to be raised rapidly. This was similar to the "Marburger System" (see Lahnberge, Marburg) but optimized and less artistic. The structure was exposed as a stylistic element by putting the facade about one meter behind the supporting construction. Written by Torsten Ahlers
