After an extension of the existing Baroque church was scrapped in the 1960s the decision was made to create an autonomous second structure. Nestled further downhill the Auferstehungskirche follows the topography without outshining the old church. Rough board-marked concrete creates the image of a rugged mountain or castle and is continued on the inside.
