In the city centre of Gronau, the staircase silhouette of the town hall rises. The triangular floor plan is based on the idea of a flexible building that can be extended and converted as desired. The flexibility runs through the entire building. A multifunctional room structure is made possible by individual partition walls, any new arrangement can be implemented. In addition, the supporting columns allow more space. It should be a central building for everyone, open for employees as well as for visitors. It should reflect the idea of democracy. There is still furniture of the former interior, which was designed in such detail. For example, there are still old tables with old integrated telephones and even the specially made hangers are still there. Strong colours such as orange or blue were heavily used for the interior decoration. Yellow details run through the whole building, the entrance door, window frames, stair parts and also parts of the floor or ceiling. The triangle of the floor plan can also be rediscovered everywhere. Deilmann also worked with the surroundings, he built a small staggered concrete waterfall at the Eschbach, which fits perfectly to the main building due to its geometric form.
