In 1970 the new municipal library was opened, the special feature was that two additional halls were added. Now there was also enough space for author readings, exhibitions and library concerts. The reinforced concrete building is characterised by a massive attic, concrete columns support the roof and attach narrow concrete balconies to the façade. The glass façade is supported by a post and mullion construction and contrasts with closed concrete façade elements.
