The church complemented existing parish community buildings, erected in 1962, and completed the complex with a rectangular sacred building for celebrating mass and a separately placed church tower. The building parts surround a landscaped forecourt, which is still framed on the open sides by a pergola-like walkway. The church is designed with light panels rather simple and closed. A special feature, however, is the indented flat roof section with a fluted exposed concrete surface, which appears to float above the church on a circumferential window band. Far more sculptural is the church tower, which is composed of various exposed concrete elements and, depending on the perspective, appears closed or pierced by interstices.
