In addition to the prefabricated concrete slabs we often see at apartment houses known as Plattenbauten, the building’s appearance is ultimately determined by prefabricated sandblasted, three-dimensional concrete elements, amongst them u-shaped pillars and sloped exterior window sills. A dash of orange on special elements inside and outside complements the dominant grey hues traditionally associated with raw concrete.
