The Autosilo Balestra is a multi-storey brutalist (in Italian: "nudi et crudi") car park in Lugano's financial district. Its fortress-like shape and sharp zigzag silhouette contrast sharply with the smooth, Mario Botta-influenced postmodernism of the neighbourhood. With its bullishness, the Balestra looks like a dinosaur from the age of the automobile.
