The Gas research station is a building with a main block of three floors and rectangular plan. The façade concrete panels are precast and painted. A full-height portal of triangular section, three large, funnel-shaped water tanks and three cylindrical vents are site-cast and also painted. A projecting entrance bridge at the first floor connects the building to the street level. „A building of great purity of form and considerable architectural subtlety - noted, for example in the slight and deliberate deviations from the symmetrical in the front elevation.“ The Architects Journal, April 24, 1968.
