This former Police Extension Building is an edge case of brutalism. It was cladded with sandstone panels, but showed brutalist qualities in terms of its monumental and rhetorical characteristics. Latter lie in the pulled out, stepped bulkhead construction and in the sculptural staging of supply elements. Further design elements of the seven-storey building have been the glass and aluminum window bands.
