Built in 1970, the Village Vacance Famille (VVF) in Anglet was created during the social tourism movement that began in the late 1950s. Inspired by ocean liners, the architects designed a vertical village with a curved floor plan mimicking the movement of the rock face. They integrated ship elements such as portholes and bridges.
