| Condition | Listed. In December 2006, the old cross was replaced by a lighter cross that is illuminated from within and therefore visible from afar. Since 2021, the church is undergoing extensive renovation. This measure is due to the structural condition of the church, the lack of accessibility, and the need for congregation rooms and administrative rooms for the Diakonie Hasenbergl. In addition, the number of church visitors has fallen sharply, making the church space oversized. It will be reduced in size in the course of the renovation, a lighthouse project that is to be a model for many other churches from this period. |

The Evangelic Church Hasenbergl with adjoining parish office, parish flats and youth rooms offers space for 500 church visitors. The red brick building with a reinforced concrete skeleton is particularly characterised by the 12-metre-high church windows, which as a kind of concrete ornament create a unique atmosphere in the room. The installation of the massive reinforced concrete tower cross was carried out by a Bundeswehr helicopter and was broadcast on television.
