With the development of the Hasenbergl neighbourhood in the 1950s, the new Catholic Church of St. Nicholas was built. It is designed as a central building with four semicircular wall shells. The façade is characterised by red bricks and exposed concrete bands. Four reinforced concrete columns support the tent-like roof. A connecting corridor leads to the free-standing cone-shaped church tower made of exposed concrete. A chapel was built into the base of the tower, which extends to the belfry.
