The Hypovereinsbank office building in Cuxhaven displays a cornucopia of architectural elements in terms of form, material and surface texture. The basis of the building is the public business area with large windows. At its head it is framed by an exposed concrete section which, held by a round column, is projecting as a canopy above the entrance. The surface of the whole frame section shows a fluted structure due to the formwork used here. On top of this part of the building, the office premises are located. In the shape of a terraced structure, they seem to float above the basis, supported by rectangular reinforced concrete beams. The structure is clad in gray natural stone that subtly blends visually with the gray of exposed concrete beams forming the ballustrades of the balconies.
