The building combines a mix of raw materials. The use of brick for the infill and concrete for load bearing elements structures the façade. The top segment reveals a more constructivist sensibility.

Western City Gate (Genex Tower)

The Genex Tower (Serbian: Kula Geneks), or Western City Gate is a 35-storey skyscraper in Belgrade, Serbia. It is formed by two towers connected with a two-storey bridge and features a revolving restaurant at the top. With around 140m it is the second-tallest highrise in Belgrade. One of the towers is occupied by the Genex Group. The tower got its popular name "Genex" after this group, while its official title remains Western City Gate. The second, taller tower, is residential.

Eastern City Gates (Istočne Kapije)

Public housing project with three 28 floor towers, perched atop a car garage substructure. Each tower contains 190 apartments. A playground is located at the center. Dragoljub Micovic, the architect overseeing construction, named the towers after his home town Rudo 1–3.

Municipal Assembly

Due to it's central location in block 31, it is very well connected with the rest of Belgrade. The building was commissioned to be built in a brutalist/modernist style to match with the rest of style of the New Belgrade. The interesting detail about it is that the support columns which are holding the exterior of the buildings make the roof look like it's bending inwards because of the years of wear and tear but it's only a design feature which actually prevents the building from deforming under it's own load.

Institute of Urban Planning

Instead of the usual approach of emphasizing the corner situation by means of super-elevation, Jovin moves the building back from the building line on the Palmotićeva, making it hover over the ground by designing the building’s ground floor partially as an open-sided story, creating free space for the entrance area; we come upon green spaces, ramps, and steps. Jovin’s projects, and this is the case for the Institute of Urban Planning too, are marked by a clear division of function and access, as well as by exposed constructions and materials. Residential Blocks 61–64

High rise buildings raising up from a 4 floor building. The tallest in every row has 16 floors. The formation imitates a stairs hence the nickname "Stepenicarke or Stairs" in english. Also the first name for these buildings was "bunkbeds" because back when they were built there were barely any shops and no cafes. So, whenever people needed something they had to go to the center and other places to get stuff so they got called bunkbeds because people would only sleep there and spent rest of the day in the center or in Zemun area.

Residential Development Banjica

Banjica residential complex consists of eight terraced assemblies, “housing communes”, five solitaires and two lower terraced assemblies, with around 4500 housing units in total. Intention was to introduce sloping roof to the mass housing architecture, thus blending massive volumes with the sloping terrain. Buildings rise from six floors at the edge towards eleven in the middle of assembly, with a street and parking garages underneath and elevated pedestrian streets with shops between the building entrances. Despite strictly prescribed and optimized sizes of each room in the apartment, the architects achieved high quality, free flow spaces within only several types. (Written by Ana Filipovic)

The competition had a deadline of just 9 days and the project had to be designed and built in only one year. This resulted in the architects still planning the upper floors while the lower part was already being constructed. The result could be described as a hybrid between Brutalism, High Tech / Structural Expressionism and Postmodernism.

Federal Executive Council of Yugoslavia (today: Palace of Serbia)

The construction of the palace began in June 1947 according to plans by the architects Vladimir Potočnjak, Antun Ulrich, Zlatko Neumann and Dragica Perak, but it was stopped in 1950. Then, the construction was resumed in 1954 and plans were revised by architect Mihailo Jaković.
