Town Hall Waldkraiburg
Waldkraiburg is a town developed after World War II, built from the late 1940s onwards. Though, it was to take until the 1970s before a presentable town hall was built. As a symbol for the new poise of the city, the building stands on a plateau to which it is connected by grand staircases, dominating the city centre between the Stadtplatz and the Sartrouville Platz. The building as well as the exterior parts are characterized by strict geometric shapes. The façades consist of ribbon windows and exposed aggregated concrete. The outer parts of the building as well as some of the public rooms in the main building are shaped by concrete plant containers.
